Doctor of Philosophy in Fisheries Economics
The Ph.D. in Fisheries Economics is a Doctoral Program. Candidates that have a strong interest in seafood marketing and fishing industry management, as well as a sense of responsibility, should apply. This course’s major goal is to give students a thorough understanding of important concepts in marine and fisheries economics. The numerous subjects include: efficiency and capacity measurement, bioeconomic modeling and empirical applications, marine and fisheries resource management, and non-market valuation applications in the marine environment. Because of the growing demand and importance of fisheries economics, various colleges and universities have begun to offer Ph.D. programs in the subject.
